The West Tennessee Seismic Safety Commission in conjunction  with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, the Center for Earthquake Research and Information. the Tennessee Department of the Military and Bad Bob’s Bar-B-Que is holding a Community Disaster Preparedness Meeting  on Friday , August 9, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at the Lannom gymnasium located on the campus of Dyersburg State Community College. First responders will have on display their vehicles and speakers will discuss the current research on earthquakes and floods in the Dyersburg area. Dyersburg  and State agencies  will discuss current emergency plans for Dyer county.  Bad Bob’s Bar-B Que will provide meals and drawings for door-prizes will be held with the prizes being items needed for emergency preparedness and the grand prize being a 3500 watt generator.
